From Chester, exit A55 at Junction 27 (St Asaph) 1st exit off roundabout (St Asaph/ Denbigh)
From North Wales, exit A55 at Junction 27 (St Asaph) 3rd exit off roundabout, (for St Asaph / Denbigh)
After quarter of a mile, first exit at mini roundabout, up hill to next mini roundabout, take 3rd exit (Denbigh A525)
Follow A525 through village of Trefnant, to large roundabout on outskirts of Denbigh (with house in the middle of roundabout!) take second exit (Ruthin A525)

At next roundabout take 4th exit (Denbigh) (Ruthin Road)
Quarter of a mile, take the second left (Ffordd Ystrad)
Proceed for 1.0 mile (views of Castle House and Castle on your right along this road) to staggered crossroads, take right turn to Denbigh, down and then up river valley, past old (disused) Hospital, to slanted T junction,
Turn right, and after 50 yards turn right into driveway to Castle House, (This point is Ll16 3LY and is opposite small cul de sac called Ystrad Ael y Bryn)
Once off the main (public) road, bear left after 20 yards, through gate posts, proceed along tree lined drive for 1/2 mile to enter Castle House.

At Pentrefoelas on A5, take A543 (Denbigh)
On approach to Denbigh enter town 30MPH speed restriction,
About ½ mile on left hand bend, (with large council offices on your right ) take the right turn into Lon Llewelyn (signed castle) (if you pass Morrisons supermarket on your right you have overshot this right turn by 200 yards!)
Proceed up Lon Llewelyn for 300 yards (view of castle on your left) to T junction.
Turn Right and almost immediately (30 yards) turn left into private drive of Castle House (opposite small road called Ystrad Ael y Bryn, This location is LL16 3LY)
Once off the main (public) road, bear left after 20 yards, through gate posts, proceed along tree lined drive for 1/2 mile to enter Castle House.

Drive UP Vale St. from Townsend traffic lights, past shops, to Lenton pool roundabout, take first exit, pass Morrisons Supermarket on your left side, 200 yards after Morrisons take a left into Lon Llewelyn (just after the large civic buildings on your left) this is signed to the castle.
Proceed up Lon Llewelyn for 300 yards (view of castle on your left) to T junction. Turn Right and almost immediately (less than 30 yards) turn left into private drive of Castle House (opposite small road called Ystrad Ael y Bryn, this location is LL16 3LY)
Once off the main (public) road, bear left after 20 yards, through gate posts, proceed along tree lined drive for 1/2 mile to enter Castle House.

Walk up Bull Lane past Post Office sorting depot, take 90 degree right hand bend. Continue up Bull lane take 45 degree left hand bend. Continue 20 yards up Bull lane until you see Leicester Terrace on your right, (road with terraced houses on one side of the road only)
Opposite Leicester’s terrace (and on your left) are the stone gate posts to Plas Castell, the sign lists Castle House as one of the properties, enter through these gate posts, and continue along past the tower, and round the house to the front doors.
